Data Enabled Enterprise™

Data Enabled Enterprise™ Logo

The Data Enabled Enterprise™ describes an organization that uses data, not just for ‘data’, but to provide information. When data is turned into information, that information can be used to provide the enterprise with a competitive edge. Manufacturer’s today often use a variety of disjointed systems, both manual and automated, in order to perform and monitor their manufacturing processes. A wide variety of tools are touted on the market place, including tools for manufacturing intelligence, manufacturing execution systems, and ERP integration. Focusing on tools is not the answer. The focus must be on determining the data that is required to make real decisions - that is, what data is needed, how that data can be obtained, and how that it will be combined with other data to provide REAL value to the organization.

A phased approach to planning, evaluating, and implementing data collection programs for manufacturers, the Data Enabled Enterprise™ methodology will facilitate for you an understanding of how to gather data, combine it, and use it in new ways to meet current and future requirements. It will help you: adapt your existing infrastructure to create a data enabled facility; apply data collection, integrity, & storage strategies that work; integrate your third party software; and, maximize data collection & usage for reporting without data loss.

The Data Enabled Enterprise™ is divided into 3-phases, each with 2 parts. The first phase is complimentary which includes the Data Enabled Enterprise Starter Kit™ and The Data Enabling Project Catalyst™. The kit, with its five question sets, is designed to assist in developing a framework around your data enabling needs. The catalyst session is a complimentary workshop for you and your project team to delve deeper into your greater data needs and opportunities.
