WHAT IS YOUR CORE TECHNOLOGY OR PROCESS?
JMP provides world-class automated manufacturing solutions. Our focus is on production efficiency and quality assurance. Our core competencies lie in process control, robotics, motion control, press automation, vision systems, automatic identification and tracking systems, data collection, bottleneck analysis and custom software.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIG BREAK?
Truly understanding that the key to business is relationships. We have offices across Ontario and in Michigan to serve one key purpose-to be close to our customers.
WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY’S CLAIM TO FAME?
Our people and their dedication to engineering excellence. With standards for automation in innovation that lead the industry, we apply a keep-it-simple methodology to today’s cutting-edge technologies and produce automated solutions that are user and maintenance friendly, reliable and robust.
DESCRIBE YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AND HOW YOU DEALT WITH IT.
Our goal of hiring top-notch employees has proven to be a continuous challenge. Our standards are extremely high and candidates must not only meet educational and experience criteria but must also have a thirst for learning and a drive to succeed.
WHAT IS YOUR OWNERSHIP STRUCTURE?
JMP is privately owned by the company founder, John Miller, and me. Ownership opportunities will be extended to employees in the new year.
WHEN DID YOUR COMPANY BECOME PROFITABLE?
We have been profitable since our inception.
HOW WILL YOUR COMPANY HAVE CHANGED OR GROWN THREE YEARS FROM NOW?
We will have 75 to 80 employees, an office in north Toronto; we will be established in Detroit and pushing further into the United States. We will have greater industry and technology diversification and capabilities. We will be able to provide our customers with a broader range of services as their single-source provider of automation solutions.
