London, ON (June 8, 2004) - This year, JMP celebrated by hosting its 3rd Annual Appreciation Dinner – an event dedicated to recognizing the significant achievements of their employees over the past year.
Company President, Scott Shawyer, began the evening by saying “we are here to celebrate the past year, recognize some great achievements, poke some fun of course, and take a sneak peak into our future”.
Success in corporate initiatives relating to people, marketing, and planning were highlighted. Many Branch, Group, and Departmental achievements were noted and a humourus account of the past year’s many social events provided an opportunity for some hearty laughter.
Employee contributions were recognized through Length of Service Awards and a series of Special Recognition Awards. “The purpose of these awards is to recognize members of our team for extraordinary contributions to JMP in areas that we value most”.
Awards included:
· Project Team Award
· Innovation Award
· Client Service Award
· Leadership Award
· Unsung Hero Award
· Rookie of the Year Award
· Administrative Excellence Award
· Solutioneer Award
“The Solutioneer Award is presented to an individual who has earned the right to receive our highest award. To earn this award, the recipient must consistently demonstrate integrity, reliability, competence, humility, a positive attitude, commitment, teamwork, and confidence.”
John Miller, founder of JMP, presented Mr. Shawyer with a thank you card from each employee, expressing their appreciation for his mentoring and his leadership.
The evening concluded with Mr. Shawyer likening JMP’s momentum to that of a huge flywheel. “Over the past year, we have added some significant momentum to our flywheel and we will be adding even more this coming year. I can see breakthrough up ahead and that makes me very excited about the future to come at JMP!”
