JMP’s New Agile Packaging Solution Goes Live at Pack Expo 2008
LONDON, ON, October 22, 2008 – Recent advances in robotics, vision guidance, and control technology have resulted in a new wave of Agile Packaging Solutions, now available for food and consumer goods manufacturers to remove bottlenecks, improve upstream equipment efficiency, and automate repetitive or challenging non-value added manual tasks. JMP Engineering will be showcasing one of these ground-breaking Agile Packaging Solutions live at Pack Expo in Chicago from November 9-13, 2008. Presented in partnership with Motoman (booth #S-1594), manufacturers will be able to able to see first hand how this new solution could automate their secondary packaging process with a 12 – 18 month return on investment.
“Manufacturers are looking for new solutions to reduce labor and improve flexibility in their packaging systems” observes Paul Wilson, VP of Sales and Marketing for JMP Engineering. “Advances in robotics and material handling automation have created new opportunities to meet the evolving needs in the packaging area.” New research released this month by Industrial Info Resources (IIR - www.industrialinfo.com) of Sugarland Texas supports these observations. IIR’s report indicates that capital projects in the food sector in 2009 will be centered on low-investment, high return solutions that reduce labor and energy costs while providing incremental increases in capacity.
“We are excited to showcase our latest integrated Agile Packaging Solution at the show this year,” shares Ken McLaughlin, Director of Automation for JMP. “This solution epitomizes what is possible now for manufacturers who need low risk, low cost robotic solutions to remain competitive and meet changing market needs.”
