Our San Antonio location is seeking a Controls Specialist. As a Controls Specialist, you will be involved in all aspects of automation, control and information system projects from design to programming through to commissioning for diverse set of clients in various industries. You possess knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in regards to Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interface Programming, AutoCAD/Electrical Design, and have appropriate debug and testing skills. You will typically work in either an office or industrial setting.

The challenge of Controls Specialist will include:
- Working on various stages of automation and control projects (AutoCAD, PLC programming, HMI design, commissioning)
- Managing portions of projects as assigned (assist with quoting, materials ordering, budgeting etc…) depending on the size and scope of the project
- Attending to field service and emergency calls
- Participating in customer meetings from a technical perspective
- Accountable for individual performance goals that will be determined with your manager on an annual basis
- Participate in planning sessions that will identify industry business drivers and trends that will serve as the basis for developing key offerings to our clients.
Ideal Candidate:

As a successful candidate you are:
- An Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineer or Technologist with a minimum 1-2 years of experience with Programmable Controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, etc.), HMI Programming, AutoCAD/Electrical Design, Debug/Testing/Commissioning
- Knowledgeable regarding industry or manufacturing processes (automotive, food and beverage, cement, oil & gas, petrochemical, pulp & paper, and pharmaceutical environments is beneficial)
- A proven self starter
- Motivated by challenges
