We are currently on the lookout for a Manufacturing Information Systems Technical Lead to work out in our Vaughan office. The role of Manufacturing Information Systems Technical Lead will play a key role as part of the Centre of Excellence group, with responsibilities to all regions of the company. This is a vital role in the development of new software and programming strategies at a global and local level. Successful applicants will be involved in every stage of the Information Solutions process including: requirement gathering, systems architecting, functional specification, detailed design, software development, implementation and deployment.

The Manufacturing Information Systems Technical Lead role is perfectly suited for those who have excellent technical as well as people skills and who are seeking an exciting career in a growing organization. Candidates with an academic and professional background in Systems Design, Computer Science, Electrical, Computer Engineering or a business degree with industrial and/or computer development experience will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of an expert group, supporting solid project design and implementation, not just in a local region, but providing learning and mentoring to others across the corporation
- Acting as technical lead on a variety of projects
- Develop systems architectures, component specifications, detail designs and hands-on application development
- Building crucial relationships with key global partners within the manufacturing software scope of responsibility
- Involvement in pre-sales support, requirements specification and solution design, as well as construction and implementation
- Participating in strategy determination with team leadership and global partners in order to promote the adoption of partner product suite in North America
- Being responsible for maintaining deep technical knowledge of new software and programming strategies available in the manufacturing software space
Ideal Candidate:
- 6 – 10 years of application development experience using tools based on the Microsoft technology platform
- Understanding of Industrial Environments , Production and Engineering Processes an asset
- Experience in areas such as requirements specification, architecting solutions, systems analysis and design
- Experience in architecting software based solutions using both configurable and custom software
- Experience with database software such as SQL Server and/or Oracle
- Experience using software provided by any or all of the following vendors an asset: GE, Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens, IBM
- Familiar with application development methodologies, techniques and standards, configuration management, middleware, networking and communication, and hardware configuration
- Project management experience an asset
- Outstanding leadership skills and customer relation skills
