We are currently on the lookout for a Manufacturing Information Systems Programmer Analyst to work out in our Vaughan office. The role of Manufacturing Information Systems Programmer Analyst will play a key role as part of the Centre of Excellence group, with responsibilities to all regions of the company. This is a vital role in the development/configuration of Information/MES applications for our customers. Successful applicants will be involved in every stage of the solutions implementation process including: requirement gathering, systems architecting, functional specification, detailed design, software development, implementation, commissioning, training, and support.

The Manufacturing Information Systems Programmer Analyst role is perfectly suited for those who have excellent analytical, technical as well as people skills and who are seeking an exciting career in a growing organization. Candidates with an academic and professional background in Systems Design, Computer Science, Electrical, Computer Engineering or a business degree with industrial and/or computer development experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Involvement in pre-sales support; requirement gathering, solutions architecting and effort estimation
• Develop specification and technical design
• Implement and develop solution; coding and/or configuration of Information/MES applications and testing
• Provide documentation and end-user training
• Provide support and on-going system maintenance
• Provide learning and mentoring to others across the corporation
• Takes part in evaluations and reviewing of programming methods, tools and standards
• Strengthen relationships with customers

Ideal Candidate:

• 3 - 6 years of experience in the manufacturing software arena, particular using software that can be described as Information software
• Minimum 3 years hands-on application development experience using tools based on the Microsoft technology platform
• Understanding of Industrial Environments, Production and Engineering Processes an asset
• Experience in areas such as requirements specification, architecting solutions, systems analysis and design
• Experience in architecting software based solutions using both configurable and custom software
• Experience with database software such as SQL Server and/or Oracle
• Experience using software provided by any or all of the following vendors an asset: GE, Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens, IBM
• Experience with integration between enterprise applications and plant floor applications
• Familiar with application development methodologies, techniques and standards, configuration management, middleware, networking and communication, and hardware configuration
• Project management experience an asset
• Outstanding leadership skills and customer relation skills
