We are currently on the lookout for a .NET Developer to work out in our Vaughan office. The .Net Developer will be part of an application development project team and his/her key role will be code development and program testing. Successful applicants will be involved in the solutions development process including: system technical architecting, detailed design, code development and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Designs and develop large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a high quality, well engineered result
- Creates and amends programs in accordance with the design
- Plans, designs and conducts tests of programs, corrects errors and re-tests to achieve an error-free result
- Documents all work in accordance with agreed standards
- Conducts reviews of supplied specifications, with others as necessary
- Takes part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues’ work, if appropriated
Ideal Candidate:
- 3 – 6 years .NET experience; C#, VB
- 3 – 6 years SQL Server experience
- Proficiency in using .NET 3.5 framework
- Proficiency in using Window Presentation Foundation
- Proficiency in using SQL reporting services
- Proficiency in using Visual Studio 2005 and 2008
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite; Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience in SQL server Broker Services
- Microsoft Certified Professional an asset
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or in working with ERP (SAP, QAD) or manufacturing execution third party software (Rockwell, GE, Wonderware) an asset
- Experience in application integration between enterprise and plant floor applications an asset
- Experience in requirements gathering and solutions architecting an asset
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
