We are currently on the lookout for a Manufacturing Information Systems Programmer-Analyst-In-Training to work out in our Vaughan office for the development/configuration of Information/MES applications. Successful applicants will be involved in every stage of the solutions implementation process including: requirement gathering, systems architecting, functional specification, detailed design, software development, implementation, commissioning, training, and support.

The Manufacturing Information Systems Programmer-Analyst-In-Training role is perfectly suited for those who have excellent analytical, technical as well as people skills and who are seeking an exciting career in a growing organization. Candidates with an academic and professional background in Systems Design, Computer Science, Electrical, Computer Engineering or a business degree with industrial and/or computer development experience will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Develop specification and technical design
- Implement and develop solution; coding and/or configuration of Information/MES applications and testing
- Provide documentation and end-user training
- Provide support and on-going system maintenance
- Participate in evaluations and reviewing of programming methods, tools and standards
- Build relationships with customers
Ideal Candidate:
- Final year of university college program in the manufacturing software arena, particular using software that can be described as Information software
- Some hands-on application development experience using tools based on the Microsoft technology platform (VB.Net, ASP.Net, SilverLight, etc.)
- Understanding of Industrial Environments, Production and Engineering Processes an asset
- Experience in areas such as systems analysis and design an asset
- Experience with database software such as SQL Server and/or Oracle an asset
- Experience using software provided by any or all of the following vendors an asset: GE, Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens, IBM
- Experience with integration between enterprise applications and plant floor applications an asset
- Familiar with application development methodologies, techniques and standards, configuration management, middleware, networking and communication, and hardware configuration an asset
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Excellent customer relation skills
