Wire Harness Tester
The Engine Wire Harness Functional Tester solves the issue of improper or ineffective engine sensor connections before they become a costly production repair problem. The system performs continuity tests of all wire harness connections to engine sensors, in line with production. It allows for any errors to be discovered and corrected immediately, before further assembly is completed. Each Engine Wire Harness Functional Tester can be designed to:
- Ensure all sensors attached to the wire harness are secure
- Eliminate costly repairs from late diagnosis of the issue
- Provide data collection and information reporting to track and pinpoint system errors
- Provide a "green light" for each sensor, not found with other vision-only systems
- Allow for flexible redeployment on new engine types and lines
- Provide traceable return on investment when compared to past error history
Depending upon your production and budget requirements, the Engine Wire Harness Functional Tester comes in either a fixed or flexible package. For either package, the system sensor testing circuitry design is the same. A continuity check is performed on each connector and the status is shown on an overhead display. If the connector is not plugged into the sensor, its location will be indicated on the display. Once the connector is plugged-in, it will be indicated as ok.
The system looks at all sensors and outputs an overall complete signal which is indicated with a buzzer and light.
Fixed - Includes an LED board with dual coloured LEDs and photos or schematics
Flexible - Includes a plasma display with configurable screens. Additional display boards can be included as required.
